The Governor of Bauchi state, Isa Yuguda has lost his mother at the age of 85, the governor announced on Wednesday.

Hajiya Hauwa Yuguda died from a protracted illness, has been buried according to Islamic rites, Nigerian Tribune reports.
She is survived by three children, including the Chairman of the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Abdullahi Babo, and had more than 30 grandchildren.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after her funeral in Bauchi on Thursday, Yuguda described her death as a tragedy.
“A mother is a mother and anybody who loses a mother loses a treasure. You cannot compare a mother with anything in life. She gave birth to you and does everything for you.
“She carried you for nine months, fed you with her milk. You vomited on her, passed faeces on her, urinated on her and denied her precious sleep. She watches you grow up.
“What else can you say? A mother is indeed a wonderful human being God has made possible for you to come through,” he said.
According to him, there is time to be born and time to die and all humanity should wait for their turn to die.
The governor described the death of his mother as a big loss but added that it was God’s will for her to go.
“No matter how much we loved and valued her, it was her time to die and nobody can stop that. We pray that the almighty Allah will grant her Aljannah Fridaus and may He bless us that she left behind and made it possible for us to respect His wishes,” the governor said.
Meanwhile, the out-going governor has sacked almost all his political aides, excluding those few in charge of “essential services”. Indications are the move may be connected with allegations that some appointees were looting government property
