Kim Kallstrom could be off-loaded by Arsenal without playing a single minute for his new club.
The Swedish midfielder joined on loan on transfer deadline day from Spartak Moscow but won’t be ready to play for six weeks after aggravating a back injury in his first training session.
The 31-year-old is believed to have picked up the original injury while playing beach volleyball last week, and the Gunners were apparently aware of the damage before they signed him.
However, according to the Sun on Sunday, officials at the club are now desperately searching for a clause in his contract so they can terminate the deal and send him back to Russia immediately.
The fiasco is the last thing manager Arsene Wenger needs as he is already without the injured trio of Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott, while Mathieu Flamini is suspended for the next three games.
