According to the fresh information provided by Daily Post, Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Victor Ochei, has resigned.
It has been gathered he made such a move in order to prevent his impeachment scheduled for tomorrow.
The official reportedly made this known at the meeting held Saturday night with his aides in Asaba, the state capital.
As at Saturday night more than 2/3 of House members signed the impeachment notice of Ochei and his Deputy, Hon. Basil Ganagana.
While come believe that anti-Ochei mood is connected with him not being transparent in the use of funds and execution of capital projects, analysts link his woes to his alleged governorship ambition.
Indications have emerged that he may be replaced by Pat, wife of a suspected fraudster, Mr. Fred Ajudua.
