Senate President, David Mark, during today's (Wednesday) plenary said he would lead 21 other senators to meet with President Goodluck Jonathan.

He said the meeting was to discuss the recent abduction of 234 girls from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, by insurgents. 
Mark further explained that the meeting was aimed at brainstorming on ways to rescue the abducted girls and end insurgency in the country, adding that the meeting is scheduled to hold at the Aso Rock Villa by 10:00pm.  
It would be recalled that the Senate yesterday resolved to ask the Federal Government to intensify efforts to secure immediate rescue of the abducted girls.  
It also advised the Federal Government to solicit the help of ECOWAS and the United Nations for modern equipment to aid the search and rescue.
Mark said the members of the delegation include Babafemi Ojudu, Zainab Kure, Alkali Jajere, James Manager, Senators Boluwaji Kunlere, Helen Esuene and Chris Anyanwu,
Others include Ali Ndume, Ahmed Zannah, Maina Lawan, Ahmed Makarfi, Mohammed Magoro, Ahmed Lawan,  Ahmed Barata, Barnabas Gemade, Sola Adeyeye, Bindowo Jibrilla, Ehigie Uzamere, Bello Tukur, Bukar  Ibrahim as well as Uche Chukwumerije.
The meeting will also afford  senators from the affected areas opportunity to relay intelligence at their disposal to the President.
