South Korean captain of the Ferry which sunk has been accused of manslaughter, due to leaving the ship and telling passengers to stay on.

The Captain, Lee Joon Seok, had bailed on the ship early, and told the unfortunate passengers to stay put.
The Sewol ferry disaster occurred on 16 April, 281 unfortunate souls died while 23 are still missing.
Mr Lee and his three crew members (chief engineer, chief mate and second mate) where also charged for the same crime and if found guilty they could all face life imprisonment.
Legal prosecutor Ahn Sang-don said: “The [four people charged] escaped before the passengers, leading to grave casualties.”
The prosecutors have also charged 11 crew members for negligence. 22 of the crew members survived the disaster, while only 172 passengers survived.
