The procession of the #BringBackOurGirls protest has just taken off from the Unity Fountain in Abuja, and is heading towards the Federal Secretariat.
Yet, hundreds of the anti-riot policemen have taken strategic position, and blocked the entrance to the Presidential Villa.
The protesters, led by the Nigeria Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwezili, vowed that they must see the president, and register their grievances, on the need to rescue the still missing 234 abducted Chibok school Girls by the insurgents.
The Nigeria Police maintained that they would “not allow” any peaceful protest, and vowed to disrupt the procession. Over 2000 women, and men, are taking part in this protest. SaharaReporters will update you on the development of the protest as it unfolds
