Reports reaching us indicate there was shooting at the Alaba International Market located in Ojo town, Lagos.
Our reader has sent us a report saying unidentified gunmen have, "in broad daylight," invaded the banks in the vicinity of the market and got away with the money they stole.
Some eyewitnesses say the armed robbers also attacked the vehicle belonging to one of the banks and engaged in a shootout with police officers.
Unconformed reports have it that one policeman was allegedly shot dead, while several of the intruders sustained injuries.
A number of Twitter users have already taken to the Internet to spread the news.
