Following reports that Charly Boy publicly embarrassed the governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha at the burial of his late father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, some youths in the state have lambasted him.

According to Leadership report, the youths under the aegis of Imo Youth Parliament yesterday, July 8 demanded an unreserved apology from Charly Boy for embarrassing the chief executive officer of the state.
Addressing a press conference in Owerri, the youths led by their president and Imo Youth ambassador, Hon Godstime Samuel, gave Charly Boy 72 hours to tender an apology or they would declare him a persona non grata.
They described Charly Boy’s action as an insult to the governor of the state.

After news of the embarrassment meted out to Gov. Okorocha went viral, Charly Boy had issued a statement over the issue, saying there was no ill feeling between him and the governor, adding that he did not snatch the microphone from him.
Charly Boy’s father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa died on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the age of 96 after a brief illness.
Charly Boy caused quite a stir at his father’s funeral service which held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oguta, Imo State, as he stepped out with his two ‘virgins.’
He also caused a scene as he stormed out of his father’s lying-in-state at the Owerri International Conference Centre, owerri.
