In what looks an attempt to flee from public scrutiny, SaharaReporters has discovered that Anne Welsh, the CEO of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation (OOF) who was fired after SaharaReporters revealed how show plotted to launder money on behalf of some Lebanese businessmen, has started deleting her social media pages including her personal website.
Mrs. Welsh was exposed in a video leaked to SaharaReporters on May 8th. The video, an exhaustive account of her money laundering operation using the OOF as an illegal front. Anne was seen speaking to two individuals, identified as Lebanese businessmen, on how she had previously laundered money using the OOF.
When asked whether Anne had laundered money before she replied, “Yes I’ve done this before, I have done it from the Nigerian end and London end. I just want to make sure whoever’s account I send it to is able to receive bulk transfers.” Mrs. Welsh was also said “the only thing we need to be careful of is an email trace.”
Anne Welsh’s social media accounts and personal website flaunted her socialite status; they included numerous photos striking poses and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with African Heads of State, celebrities and humanitarians. Her personal website described her as an “Influencer.”
The first website she had, http://www.annewelsh.org/, is now totally unavailable. However, she seems to have forgotten about her Wix website, http://annewelshwebsite.wix.com/annewelshnew, is at the time of publication still active. Anne Welsh’s Twitter handle @iamannewelsh appears to have less than 30 followers now, and only 16 tweets.
Anne’s Facebook fan page has also been taken down, with a Facebook notification saying it was no longer available.
A representative for Anne Welsh told SaharaReporters that she was not speaking with the media at this time.
