Veteran actor, Jide Kosoko who recently celebrated his 60th birthday narrowly escaped death on Wednesday after he was involved in a terrible car accident.

The accident was said to have occurred around Ikeja Shopping Mall, Lagos state.
The actor who was driving reportedly lost control as a result of break failure which led to the accident.
Although the car is a complete write-off, Jide Kosoko was immediately given emergency medical treatment by 7-up & LASTMA Emergency officials before he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for further treatment.
Efforts to reach the actor has been abortive. But a Yoruba actor, Yomi Fabiyi confirmed the story saying the actor is in stable condition.
Jide Kosoko who has remained one of the few actors that have successfully featured in Yoruba and English movies is married to two wives Karimat and Henrietta (popular Yoruba actress)
He was born in 1954 in Lagos Island to a royal family and has been acting since he was 10 years old when he joined a theatre group. He attended Yaba College of Technology where he studied Business Administration.
