There seems to be a cold war between Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso and President Jonathan.
It was reported yesterday that the Governor on Tuesday said he regretted voting for Jonathan in 2011 and that the residents of the state will not welcome President Goodluck Jonathan, because he has done nothing to improve the standard of living, since he assumed office.
Well regardless of the Governor's view aout the President's visit to his state, that did not stop President Jonathan from visiting Kano state on Tuesday to welcome former governor of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau, to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The Governor obviously wasn't in support of his visit as there were reports that after the President left, the Governor and other APC members had to ‘sweep off his feet’ from the state.
The Governor posted the photo below on his twitter page.
@abati1990 @renoomokri Kwankwaso with his Dep Ganduje arrived where you hold your #PDP rally & sweep away your dirty pic.twitter.com/MGqWpHTE5d
It was also reported that the President on Tuesday had accused the Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwakwanso, of improper use of the state’s local government funds since assuming office during the rally to officially welcome Ibrahim Shekarau, a former Kano governor, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The former Kano state governor Shekarau, who was a leader of the All Progressives Congressdumped APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in January 2014 while the presentGovernor of Kano state was among the G-7 governors who defected to APC from PDP in 2013.
