Less than 72-hours before the 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off in Brazil, ex-national team skipper, Segun Odegbami (MON), has visited the Super Eagles' hotel and later joined the team at its training ground.

The retired player, who is popularly called 'Mathetical' during his active days, was part of coach Stephen Keshi led Eagles' last training session in the United States of America on Monday.

Reports quoted Odegbami saying: “I like what I saw at the training ground, the hunger of the boys, the confidence they displayed and the way and manner the coaching crew conducted themselves.
“Something tells me history is in the making with this team."

It was also gathered that Odegbami told the team that he was motivated to come and join their training because of the quality of the players and coaches.

“That means we will need double ambulances here”, Keshi retorted.
The Nigerian team had their last training session on Monday evening in Jacksonsville, Florida, the United States of America, and are expected to depart for Brazil via an American Airways on Tuesday.
