Reports just reaching us indicate that a governor, minister and a People Democratic Party chieftain have left the shores of Nigeria on a British Airways flight in a move to avoid being probed by incoming president, Muhammadu Buhari.
In a report published by Sahara reporters, Olusegun Olutoyin Aganga, the current Minister of Industry, Trade andINVESTMENT of Nigeria, Tony Anenih, a PDP chieftain and Governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam departed Nigeria in a flight out of the Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The three were last seen boarding the BA flight scheduled for an 8:00am departure to London.
According to the report, the wife of the Mr. Suswam, Yemisi, also left yesterday to Houston in the US to avoid getting caught up in the sweep.
It was also gathered that more party officials, ministers, several appointees and aides to President Goodluck Jonathan have either fled or planning to flee the country in a move to avoid being probed by incoming President Muhammadu Buhari.
Last week, the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-madueke traveled on the same flight with Buhari to London but efforts by the minister to start a conversation with the incoming president were rebuffed.
